In a notable development for the optical wireless communication and specialised lighting sectors, Glamox has officially completed its acquisition of Consolite Technology Limited. Based in the UK, Consolite is a renowned specialist in optical communication systems and advanced military lighting.

This acquisition represents a major milestone in Glamox's strategy to cement its leadership within the naval and defense markets—industries where secure, light-based data transmission and mission-critical illumination are in high demand. By integrating Consolite alongside MARL International, Glamox is significantly expanding its technology portfolio and engineering bandwidth to support customers with advanced optical solutions.

Founded in 1980 and headquartered in Zeals, UK, Consolite brings a dedicated team of roughly 30 specialists. They possess decades of experience in engineering specialized optical communication systems and lighting designed for rigorous naval and defense environments.

"Defence is a strategic growth area for Glamox, and this acquisition is another important milestone in executing our growth strategy," said Astrid Simonsen Joos, Chief Executive Officer of Glamox. "Consolite brings unique technologies, highly specialised expertise and strong customer relationships that perfectly complement our existing capabilities. Together with MARL, we are combining our engineering excellence, innovative technologies and deep understanding of mission-critical lighting to deliver even greater value to naval and defence customers."

Following the transaction, Consolite will be integrated into Glamox's Marine, Offshore & Wind (MOW) division. The team will collaborate closely with MARL International, leveraging synergies across engineering, sourcing, and commercial operations to advance the deployment of complementary optical and lighting technologies.

"Consolite is an excellent strategic fit for MOW," added Tommy Stranden, Chief Sales & Commercial Officer for the division. "Together with MARL, we will broaden our technology portfolio and continue developing innovative solutions that create value for our customers."
